How long are your mediations?
Half-day mediations are four hours (either 9a-1p or 2p-6p). Full-day mediations are 8-9 hours (9a-6p).
Generally speaking, we do not mediate on into the wee hours of the night to “lock down a deal” as some other mediators do. We call these “Vampire Mediations” and we will not do them. The mediation process is tiring for the participants. In our experience (and we’ve been to more than a few) a Vampire Mediation that results in a settlement is often not the result of hard work, but of flat-out fatigue.
These Vampire Mediations result in a disproportionate amount of settler’s remorse, breached settlement agreements, renewed litigation, broken client relationships and malpractice actions against the participating lawyers. No deal is a good deal unless it can withstand the light of day.

What’s up with the reserved Mondays?
As experienced litigators, we have seen many a Court struggle to find a same-day mediation for parties who have a renewed interest in settlement given their imminent trial setting. We see these “dropped-in-grease” mediations as a service to our courts and a highly-engaging exercise of our skills. So, we keep our Mondays open to help resolve these cases as they come up for trial.
What is your facility like?
- Four conference rooms of varying sizes available to accommodate most mediations.
- Wireless and wired internet connections
- Full-service kitchen
- Hot and cold beverages, snacks
- Easy parking
Do you mediate at other locations or cities?
We are happy to come to another location within the D/FW Metroplex to conduct a mediation. Particularly large mediations sometimes require this (more than four distinct parties). We are also available to mediate matters outside of the D/FW area, subject to some availability restrictions.
